CanDo Twist-n' Bend Flexible Resistance Bars are portable, rubber tools designed to strengthen the hands, wrists, and shoulders. They are a standard choice for physical therapy, especially for treating tennis elbow or golfer's elbow.
The bars are constructed as a single solid, flexible unit with a textured, ridged surface to ensure a secure, non-slip grip during exercises.
Details:
Material: Made from natural rubber latex.
Standard Size:12 inches (approx. 30 cm) long.
Diameter: All resistance levels maintain a 1.75-inch (approx. 4.5 cm) diameter.
Weight: Approximately 1 lb (0.45 kg)
Description:
DEVELOP ARM & WRIST STRENGTH - Build powerful arm strength with CanDo Twist-n' Bend flexible resistance bars. By simply twisting or bending you can strengthen the muscles and tendons in your hands and arms to improve strength and coordination.
IMPROVE RANGE OF MOTION - Strengthen and improve range-of-motion in your hands, wrists, forearms and shoulders. For a soothing massage you can roll the rigid surface of the bar across the body to release tight muscles and promote blood flow.
RELIEVE JOINT PAIN AND RECOVER FROM INJURY - Use this product to reduce pain from tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, tendonitis, and other joint issues. Twist-n-Bend Bars are perfect for those recovering from injury or surgery.
EASY TO TRANSPORT AND CLEAN - Ideal for any location! Use at home, the office, or while traveling! Each bar measures only 12" long, so they're easy to take on-the-go. To keep the bar clean, simply wipe down its surface to keep it fresh and ready.
COMPLETE 6-PIECE SET - Whether your rehabilitating or strength training there's a bar that fits your needs. With resistances between 12.5 lb (tan, xx-light) and 50 lb (black, x-heavy), this set contains everything you'll need.
Resistance Levels:
These bars use a color-coded system to indicate resistance levels, which remain consistent in diameter regardless of the difficulty.
Tan: XX-Light
Yellow: X-Light
Red: Light
Green: Medium
Blue: Firm/Heavy
Black: X-Firm/X-Heavy
Exercise Techniques:
Twist: Grip the bar with both hands; flex one wrist while extending the other.
Bend: Hold the ends of the bar and exert force to create a curve.
Shake: Use oscillation movements for neuromuscular and balance training.
General Wrist & Hand Rehab:
For non-specific wrist strain or post-surgery mobility:
Wrist Oscillations:
Hold the bar with both hands and shake it rapidly to challenge neuromuscular control and stability.
Vertical Extension:
Hold the bar vertically and alternate bending your wrists forward and backward in a controlled manner.
Soft Tissue Massage:
Use the bar's rigid, textured surface to roll over your palms, forearms, or even the soles of your feet to relieve tension.
🎾 For Tennis Elbow: The "Tyler Twist"
This exercise targets the outside of your elbow by eccentrically loading the extensor muscles.
🏌️ For Golfer's Elbow: The "Reverse Tyler Twist"
This targets the inside of the elbow where the flexor muscles attach.
⚠️ Important: Start with the lowest resistance (Tan or Yellow) if you have active inflammation. Progress to the next color only when you can complete your full sets without pain.
