TRIA Dental Specialist

At TRIA Dental Specialist Centre, S.A.D.E. stands for Sensory Adapted Dental Environment. It is a specially designed dental room built to reduce anxiety and sensory triggers for children undergoing dental treatments.

Core Purpose of the S.A.D.E. Room:
The room provides a modified, controlled dental setting that drastically minimizes common sensory stressors.

It is highly beneficial for:

• Children on the Autism Spectrum (ASD)
• Pediatric patients with ADHD
• Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Children experiencing severe dental anxiety or phobia

Key Sensory Modifications:

Instead of a harsh, bright, and loud traditional clinic setup, the S.A.D.E. space uses evidence-based calming features:

• Visual Enhancements:
Soothing, moving projection lights, bubble tubes, and reduced glaring overhead lights.
• Acoustic Reduction:
Sound-dampening adjustments to block intimidating high-pitched dental drill noises.
• Behavioral Comfort:
Deep-pressure blankets or supportive wraps that give children a feeling of security
