Kevin the Minion Calm Down Sensory Bottle
~ Give it a good shake!
Sensory bottles provide a visual treat for kids! Engage the sense of sight with a sensory bottle!
Sensory bottles are one of the activities our teachers do with students in the classroom. They are a great option for engaging the senses of sight and touch with preschool age children, while also being very calming to look at once the project is complete.
It’s a project that parents can easily do at home with their children, also.
Now you have a cool Minion sensory bottle to shake up and watch!
It’s pretty cool to check out the loom bands suspended in the water and hair gel mixture!
Eventually the loom bands in your Minion sensory bottle will settle and no longer slowly move around. Some will settle to the top and some will settle to the bottom. It’s pretty neat.
Give your Minion sensory bottle a good shake and start all over again!

What is a sensory bottle used for?
Sensory bottles are a visual and physical tool for calming and relaxing the body. A child (or adult!) can use a sensory bottle when they feel anxious, overwhelmed, “wound-up”, or overstimulated and use the sense of proprioception as they shake the sensory bottle and watch the contents shift.

Why are sensory bottles calming?
Sensory bottles are often referred to as calm down bottles. When a sensory bottle has items such as glitter in it that move slowly, children (and adults) are often mesmerized by watching their slow descent and this calms their breathing and helps them regulate themselves and their emotions.

What age can you use sensory bottles?
Sensory bottles are particularly popular with children aged one to three years, who are in the sensitive period for small objects. During this period, children are fixated on small objects and tiny details, which prepare the child's mind for understanding how little things make up their world.
